PAST CAPTAINS' WINTER SHIELD STARTS SAT 1ST NOVEMBER
7th NOVEMBER 2008 - FAMILY FIREWORKS NIGHT
On Friday the 7th November we held our annual firework display with disco and Bar-B-Q the board would like to thank the following members for making it a very successful night. Matt Giles, Brian Walker, Martin Cork, Richard and Tracy Hennessey, Andy Easdown, Vic Morley and Brian Lawrence.
The charity raffle raised £144 for the Ellenor/Mcmillan Cancer Charity

DARTFORD PLAYERS PROGRESS IN WINTER TRIALS
Darren Crabb (75) and Michael Saunders (76) qualified for the Kent Winter Trial Finals on a windy day at Princes, finishing in the top 10 and 20 respectively. Michael has also qualified for the final of the Daily Telegraph Junior Competition which will take place in Abu Dhabi in the third week of November. Seven finals were held on a grey and rainy day. Despite the weather all were keenly contested and there was good golf for the many spectators to see.
Bateman winner Stan Clode, who beat John Peachell on the 37th hole.
Layton Cup winner Bob Harris, who defeated Steven Oxley 3 and 2.
Hulsewood winners Brian Walker & Peter Wheble, who beat Ashley Stratton & Matt Crabb 4 and 3.
Waistell winners Andy Easdown & Michael Stratton, who beat John Albery & Graham Dingle one up.
Jubilee Vase winners Gary Carpenter & Beryl Coshall, who defeated Peter & Gwen Oldfield 2 up.
Ladies Foursomes winners Cheryl Jones & Dorothy Masters, who beat Pat Wittekind & Keeley Green 2 up.
Junior Knockout winner Michael Saunders, who beat Amy Hennessy.
