Membership

At present we have availability for membership in all categories, subject to an application and interview process.

The 2009 annual subscription (Jan-Dec) for Full membership is £975 and a new member joining after February pays the pro-rata subscription rate. There is also a one-off joining fee of £1250, which can be split into five annual instalments of £250, with no interest payable. Annual subscriptions for a full year can be paid in ten monthly instalments (Jan-Oct), including a small interest charge, through the Fairway Credit scheme - details available from the Secretary's Office.

Traditionally, new members are proposed and seconded by existing full (seven day) members but the committee favourably considers golfers with a recommendation from their previous club, together with a character reference.

Full members have a varied competition calendar throughout the year with the major competitions normally played on Sundays.

There is a midweek knockout, midweek stableford held twice a month on Wednesdays and a running monthly medal during the summer months, which can all be entered by Midweek Members.

The club has an active junior section with several category one players. The usual joining age is 12 years, although there are occasional vacancies for other ages.

The club also has a limited number of social membership vacancies, available for friends and sponsored by two existing members.
