Juniors - we welcome applications from boys and girls under the age of 18. As a guide, junior golfers have tended to participate fully from around the age of 12 but we will consider applications at an earlier age, subject to vacancies and relative ability.
Scale - Juniors may automatically move to Scale at age 18 but anyone not previously a Junior may join up to age 24. Scale Members in full time education may apply to pay half of the applicable Scale annual subscription. All who join as Scale pay an entrance fee of £250 but this is only due at age 25 and payable in five equal instalments of £50. [New Members between the ages of 25 and 30 will pay half the full entrance fee, ie £625 in five equal instalments of £125. Age levels 31+ will pay the full entrance fee of £1,250 in five equal instalments of £250.]
Nine Hole - Full or Midweek nine hole membership is available to long standing Members who are no longer able to play 18 holes of golf. Eligibility is 20 years membership/75 years of age, or less at the discretion of the Board. Such Members will pay half of the annual subscription applicable to Full and Midweek categories.

Goofy the Team Mascot
The Men's North Kent Trophy team of Matt Giles, Brian Walker, Darren Crabb, Ian 'Ted' Smith, Ro Defries, Martin Pyke, Tony Garrett, Dave Haley, Stuart Gray and Peter Marsella had a terrific win today, home to the team from Woodlans. The men were up against it from the word go, having to all give shots.
WELL DONE MEN.
Here's looking forward to the next round, Sidcup away.

Wednesday has traditionally been a very busy day and we have been working with the Veterans to look at a number of measures. For example, we will compare diaries as soon as possible each year to avoid a clash of competition dates and, longer term (because of the involvement of other clubs), we are exploring the possibility from next year of their matches being scheduled on days/times when the course is less busy.
In the meantime, and starting from this Wednesday (27th January), the following has been agreed:
* Veterans competitions and matches, which are played on most Wednesdays, will start from the Ist tee only.
* They will have a reserved starting period on the 1st from 8.15 AM to 9.45 AM and a corresponding reservation two hours later on the 10th, ie 10.15 AM to 11.45 AM.
* The last group will inform the Professional's shop of the final time off the 1st, so that the 1st and 10th tees can be opened early if some of the reserved time is unused.
With the foregoing in place, groups of Members who regularly play later on a Wednesday can plan their starting times from the 1st accordingly.
I should like to take this opportunity to thank the Veterans for their approach in discussing this matter, which has been both constructive and helpful.
The Board is currently finalising some further 'anti-congestion' initiatives with the Junior Section and a notice will be posted shortly.
